About me

안녕하세요! Hello! My name is Gabriela and I’m the creator of One Taste of Korea. 

Here’s a little bit about me, so you can get to know me better.

I’m half Uruguayan half Italian, and all my life I knew I wanted to live somewhere else, so at the age of 18 years old I moved from Uruguay to Australia, where I spent some of the best years of my life.

I was a Graphic Design and Multimedia student at the School of  Visual Arts (Sydney) and I also did a one year course on Film & Television (such an interesting experience).

After finishing my studies I decided to move to Spain (first Barcelona, then Valencia) where I ended up working for a Telecommunication company for many many years.

On the side I had a small party printable online shop, called Nina Designs, that gave me many years of creative work, which is something I need in my life.

I’m a very curious person, always interested in learning new things, from music, to cooking, to languages…  

So, a few years ago I started getting interested in Korean culture, which ended up in me travelling to Seoul by myself, taking korean classes, learning how to cook new delicious dishes and now opening this blog.

I hope you stay with me on this journey discovering this beautiful country that I can’t wait to show you!
