ENG – During my first trip to Seoul in 2024, I really wanted to visit this place, since many fans mention that RM from BTS visited it at some point, giving it a small “pilgrimage spot” status for ARMY.
But beyond that, this place has something that makes it truly special: it is very famous for its patjuk (팥죽), the traditional sweet red bean porridge. Smooth and creamy, with a perfectly balanced texture.
This dessert is not overly sweet, which makes it more elegant and less heavy than other versions.
We paired it with sikhye (식혜), a sweet drink made from rice fermented with malt, with a mild, slightly sweet flavor, often served with grains of cooked rice floating in it.
We also tried sujeonggwa (수정과), a sweet and spiced cinnamon-ginger punch, which I personally liked even more.
In conclusion, if you want to try a classic, comforting dish that is hard to find as well prepared as here, Seoulseo Duljjaero Jalhaneun Jib is a must-visit. Between its warm atmosphere, its culinary tradition, and its connection to K-pop culture, this place truly has it all.

ESP – Durante mi primer viaje a Seúl en 2024, quería visitar este sitio, ya que muchos fans mencionan que RM de BTS lo visitó alguna vez, lo que le ha dado un pequeño estatus de “lugar de peregrinación” para ARMY.
Pero más allá de eso, este sitio tiene algo que lo hace realmente especial: es muy famoso por su patjuk (팥죽), la tradicional sopa dulce de frijol rojo. Suave y cremosa, con una textura perfectamente equilibrada.
Este postre no es demasiado dulce, lo que lo hace más elegante y menos pesado que otras versiones.
Lo acompañamos de Sikhye (식혜), una bebida dulce de arroz fermentado con malta que tiene un sabor suave, ligeramente dulce, y suele contener granos de arroz cocido flotando.
También probamos el Sujeonggwa (수정과), un “ponche” de canela y jengibre, dulce y especiado, que a mí particulamente me gustó más.
En conclusión, si quieres probar un plato clásico, reconfortante y difícil de encontrar tan bien preparado como aquí, Seoulseo Duljjaero Jalhaneun Jib es una parada obligatoria. Entre su ambiente cálido, su historia culinaria y su conexión con la cultura k-pop, es un sitio que tiene de todo.
