ENG – On a rainy day in Seoul, I found warmth and sweetness at Summer Runner, a café located in the Gangdong-gu district. The nearest subway station is Cheonho Station, and although it’s not in a central area of Seoul, I definitely recommend making the trip to visit it.
The café’s aesthetic is retro with unique touches: light-colored walls, wooden accents, green details scattered around, natural plants, and a very original menu (which looked almost hand-drawn and featured some truly creative desserts). What caught my attention the most was their famous capybara dessert — a Nutella pudding served with a layer of cookie crumbs. I also ordered a strawberry milk to go with it.
The Nutella pudding was absolutely delicious — soft and silky texture, rich chocolate flavor, and that distinct Nutella taste, yet surprisingly not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The cookie crumbs added just the right bit of crunch. And the strawberry milk, made with real strawberries, was so good — refreshing and light, the perfect complement to a rainy walk across the city.
What I loved most about the café were the cozy details: window seats facing outside, perfect for watching the rain slide down the glass, the warm lighting, and the thoughtful decor — everything came together perfectly.

ESP – En un día lluvioso en Seúl, encontré refugio y dulzura en Summer Runner, una cafetería ubicada en el barrio de Gangdong‑gu. La parada de metro más cercana es Cheonho Station, y si bien es cierto que no está situada en una zona céntrica de Seúl, os recomiendo ir a visitarla.
La estética del lugar es retro con toques originales: paredes claras, madera, detalles verdes por aquí y allá, plantas naturales, y una carta de lo más original (además de estar como hecha a mano, tenía unos postres muy singulares). Me atrajo especialmente su famoso capibara: un pudding de Nutella que venía acompañado de una base de migas de galleta. Pedí también leche de fresa para acompañar.
El pudding de Nutella estaba realmente rico: textura suave y sedosa, el sabor del chocolate cremoso y la Nutella presente, pero sorprendentemente no excesivamente dulce, lo que me encantó. El contraste con las migas, le aportó ese toque de crujiente. Y la leche de fresa (hecha con fresas naturales)… ¡deliciosa!, dando ese toque de frescura, ideal para contrarrestar ese día de lluvia y la caminata hasta allí.
Detalles que me encantaron: era muy acogedor y habían asientos junto a la ventana de cara al exterior, para ver cómo la lluvia resbalaba por el cristal, la iluminación cálida, la decoración… todo sumaba.
