Cafes of Seoul: Koriko Cafe

ENG – On my last full day in Seoul, I decided to visit Koriko Café, a place I had heard a lot about and that turned out to be the perfect ending to my trip.
It’s tucked away on a quiet street in the Yeonnam-dong neighborhood, but as soon as you walk in, you feel that cozy atmosphere so typical of Korean cafés: warm lighting, charming details, and a calm vibe that makes you want to stay for a while.
It’s housed in a two-story little building inspired by Kiki’s Delivery Service, and it even has an official merchandise shop inside.
I ordered an iced drink that was really good—though I can’t quite remember what flavor it was. That said, I have to admit the sweets were a bit disappointing. They looked beautiful and were nicely presented, but a little too dry for my taste. Still, the overall experience was very pleasant, and I think Koriko Café is definitely worth visiting for its atmosphere—especially if you’re a fan of Studio Ghibli films.

ESP – En mi último día completo en Seúl decidí visitar Koriko Café, un lugar del que había escuchado mucho y que resultó ser el cierre perfecto para mi viaje.
Está escondido en una calle tranquila del barrio de Yeonnam‑dong, pero desde que entras se siente ese ambiente acogedor tan típico de las cafeterías coreanas: luz cálida, lleno de detalles con encanto y una calma que invita a quedarse un buen rato.
Se sitúa en una casita de 2 plantas, inspirada en la película Kiki’s Delivery y además cuenta con una tienda con licencia oficial de su merchandise.
Pedí una bebida fría que estaba muy rica, aunque ahora no recuerdo de qué sabor era. Eso sí, tengo que admitir que los dulces me decepcionaron un poco. Eran bonitos y estaban bien presentados, pero algo secos para mi gusto. Aun así, la experiencia general fue muy agradable, y creo que vale la pena visitar Koriko Café por su ambiente, especialmente si eres fan de las películas de Studio Ghibli.
