ENG – If you are in Seoul and thinking of a cute souvenir to bring back home, forget about fridge magnets or bottle openers and get something different, like this caricature from Acorn Caricature that it’s done in only 5 minutes! I must admit I was a bit embarrassed at first since it attracts a lot of people… but the good thing is I don’t know anyone there, so I decided not to care!
In fact, I liked it so much that I came back another day and asked them to draw one of my son and daughter. All you need to do is show them a photo on your phone, how good is that! I even saw people requesting for a caricature of their pets. I think it’s such a cute gift ^^
The price starts at 9.000 KRW for just one person, and if you ask for a couple drawing it will cost 18.000 KRW.
It only takes about 5 minutes and you don’t need to make a reservation. As you arrive they will write down your name (they are english friendly), and after not so long you will be called to sit in front of the artist.
While I was waiting, I really enjoyed watching how they draw the portraits, they have so much talent!
So next time you visit Seoul, make sure to get yours done. There are many stores around the city, but I went to the one in Myeongdong. At the end of this post I leave you with a reel from my visit.

ESP – Si estás en Seúl y buscas un recuerdo bonito para llevar a casa, olvídate de imanes de nevera o abrebotellas y compra algo diferente, como esta caricatura de Acorn Caricature, se hace en solo 5 minutos! Debo admitir que al principio me dio un poco de vergüenza, ya que este sitio atrae a mucha gente que se para a mirar… pero lo bueno es que no conozco a nadie allí, así que decidí no preocuparme!
De hecho, me gustó tanto que volví otro día y les pedí que dibujaran uno de mi hijo y mi hija. Solo tienes que mostrarles una foto en tu móvil. Incluso vi gente pidiendo una caricatura de sus mascotas. Me parece un regalo ideal! ^^
El precio es a partir de 9.000 KRW para una sola persona, y si pides uno de pareja cuesta 18.000 KRW.
Solo tarda unos 5 minutos y no hace falta reservar. Al llegar, anotarán tu nombre (hablan inglés) y, poco después, te llamarán para que te sientes frente al artista.
Mientras esperaba, disfruté mucho viendo cómo dibujaban los retratos; tienen muchísimo talento!
Así que la próxima vez que visites Seúl, no te pierdas la oportunidad de tener el tuyo. Hay muchas tiendas por toda la ciudad, pero yo fui a la de Myeongdong. Más arriba te he dejado un video de mi visita.
